North South University (NSU), the first private university in Bangladesh, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Academy of Garments Technology Bangladesh (GarmentTechBD). The agreement marks a new strategic partnership between the two institutions.

The MoU signing ceremony was held at the NSU campus in Dhaka. Senior faculty members, administrators, and representatives from both organizations attended the event. On behalf of NSU, the agreement was signed by university officials. Dr. Henry Soo, Strategic Partner of GarmentTechBD, signed on behalf of the academy.

The collaboration will help bridge the gap between academia and industry. It will create opportunities in research, professional training, workshops, and international competitions. Students will also benefit from industrial visits, internships, and career placement support.

The event was attended by faculty, directors, coordinators, and officials from NSU, along with GarmentTechBD representatives. Attendees highlighted the importance of such partnerships for Bangladesh’s apparel and textile sector.

This MoU is a key milestone. It ensures both institutions will work together to promote academic excellence, industry engagement, and innovation-driven growth in Bangladesh.
